What excites me most about being a manager is getting to know everyone's strengths and areas of improvement so that I can find the right opportunities for folks to grow. Through weekly 1:1s, feedback and career development conversations and goal-setting. My team is spread across London, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam. Recently, an engineer joined my team, which particularly excites me.

PRACTICE LEADERSHIP
Through hands-on work and conversations with people across disciplines, I adapt & innovate the toolbox of design activities to develop products people love. New ideas emerge in a lean way by experimenting & learning. Folks turn to me when they have a practice question or want to talk shop. It makes me smile every single time. I share what I learn through articles, talks and workshops.
DELIVERY MANAGEMENT
In order to excel in delivering amazing software, the way we work together and the way we lead needs to fundamentally change. Through a highly collaborative approach based on Lean Startup and Design Thinking, I help teams and their leaders change the way they work. High performing, independent and balanced teams are key to this success. They need a psychologically safe space that allows them to experiment & take risks. They need to be able to make evidence-based decisions, grounded in user research. Amazing products are the outcome of human change.
NEW BUSIENSS
In that sense, I’m a matchmaker. Together with the sales team, I seek to understand the toughest business challenges of our clients and how our team can help solve them through software. I see many parallels to conducting user research: active listening & building empathy for challenges always form the first step. Facilitating discovery workshops and telling the Tanzu Labs story in a tailored conversation are the foundations of that work.
